I see the cold war as a time that America was in truth worried about communism and its influences near the world. The U.S. did not want the idea of communism to spread period, and were ordain to do just about anything to stop it. Russia and China were to in truth tight countries that had grasp the idea of communism and the U.S. wanted the very opposite. These two different sides caused great problems, which leads to war, and in the polish off causes no immediate change for the parties.
Americas battle for containment will draw us in to a very bloody war called Vietnam a small country split in two sides due north and south. South against communism, North fighting for communism, America is drawn into this contest to help push out the communist influence and income tax return it to a republic state. If the U.S. were successful, it would be a great jumping against the Red Scare and containing this stronger growing party.
At home in the U.S., the batch were strong behind the U.S. government and wanted communism to meld for good, proving the power of a republic. The American people felt strong pride for the U.S. war efforts and looked forward to a quick end to the dispute.
However, the people had no idea of the amount of time and lives it would crap to end this war. President Lyndon B Johnson tried to calm the American public, by saying, the war was nearing an end, but at this time, the Vietcong were planning the Tet skanky a brutal attack on all of Vietnam and the U.S. Embassies.
